Help connect Stirling
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Stirling’s Slow Ways.

F Berry added Stiban three, a new walk from Stirling to Bannockburn
Walk this routeIt is very direct, but would be impossible for wheelers due to the boggy stretch in Balquhidderock Wood, and the steps in Ladywell Park up from (or down to) the Bannock Burn....
F Berry
Just north of Ladywell Park the route descends a ramped path to a bridge which has been damaged by recent storms. I have given this route 4 stars because it is indirect, and because of the damaged bridge and the possibility that some of the route may be flooded during time of spate....
F Berry
The route begins in the centre of Tullibody and makes its way out to the main Stirling Road via some quiet back streets. There is then a lovely section through the village of Cambuskenneth before a crossing of the River Forth (via the traffic-free Cambuskenneth Bridge) and a short section through increasingly busy streets to the end of the route at Stirling Rail Station....

This route (part of National Cycle Route 76) crosses the Forth by a footbridge to visit the picturesque village of Cambuskenneth (known for its artists' colony and medieval abbey and orchards) and then heads north towards the Abbey Craig (known for its landmark Wallace Monument)....

This is the quickest way from Stirling to Bridge of Allan, and I frequently walk it. It is also cycle friendly....

The route is not well pathed between Castle Vale and Forth Park - fine for an adventurous stroll (with boots if wet) but not the best point-to-point...

Today it is a popular route for cyclists but has little other traffic. It climbs to a summit at 322m and has good distant views....

This route follows the main road between Bridge of Allan and Stirling (except for the bridge over the River Forth and a semi-pedestrianised street in Stirling)....

David Giles added Bristi two, a new walk from Bridge of Allan to Stirling
Walk this routeThis is a fairly utilitarian route between Stirling and Bannockburn. The first 3km is mainly along urban streets and is a bit monotonous. It then becomes more rural and finishes through a park....

To the east of Kippen, beyond Trough Wood, walkers will cross a field which often contains cattle. Not great for dog walkers....
