I've only awarded the route 3 stars because of the lack of facilities and this difficult section - it may be possible to re-route around this gully to reach Burnfoot using alternative wind farm tracks, but that would make the route quite a bit longer....

A missing bridge over the Mye Burn (at about 11km, about 500m east of Gartentruach Farm) provides an insurmountable barrier on this route....

It is a practicable way of walking from Kippen to Stirling, but is rather too much along roads to be really enjoyable....

If you are fit and alert, then I think it is just about safe enough to use as a pedestrian route if you really need to walk between Callander and Kippen (which is why I have given it two stars rather than one). I don't believe there is any prospect of better direct route between these two locations (due to agricultural land and the position of bridges over the Forth and Teith)....

To the east of Kippen, beyond Trough Wood, walkers will cross a field which often contains cattle. Not great for dog walkers....
