Latest Updates
The route begins in the centre of Tullibody and makes its way out to the main Stirling Road via some quiet back streets. There is then a lovely section through the village of Cambuskenneth before a crossing of the River Forth (via the traffic-free Cambuskenneth Bridge) and a short section through increasingly busy streets to the end of the route at Stirling Rail Station....

The route begins on Alva main street (West Stirling Street) and follows this street (which becomes the A91) out of the town along a good pavement....

From Alloa (shops, cafes) follow Stirling road until opposite primary school route is signposted climbing up a wooded bank....

For those less interested in industrial estates following the road toward Menstrie another half mile leads to an improved path on the right which after following the road for a while , cuts east along the wooded north boundary of the bottling plant to join the access road from the North. Unfortunately there is no alternative to walking along the A91 to Alva (cafe, pubs, shops)- which does at least have a pavement...

This route (part of National Cycle Route 76) crosses the Forth by a footbridge to visit the picturesque village of Cambuskenneth (known for its artists' colony and medieval abbey and orchards) and then heads north towards the Abbey Craig (known for its landmark Wallace Monument)....
