Walk this route1) Having to cross the Steyning bypass, which is very very busy and fast. Had to wait a long time then run like crazy to pass through a gap in traffic. Dangerous.....

This is quite a long route which took me over four hours (including the detour to the Blue Idol for my lunch stop). North of West Chiltington, the route passes through the extensive Nyetimber vineyards then heads into Old House Lane about a mile further on. The house is a few hundred yards off the route, but is well worth the detour, especially as the peaceful garden is a lovely lunch stop....

There was a short muddy section at the end of Downsview Avenue , however most of the route was along either all weather paths or quiet lanes with minimal traffic....

You cross the A29 which is very busy with fast traffic, but it’s only single carriageway so fairly easy to cross safely....

A nice little route, and definitely an improvement on Wessto one. Walked this on 14/10/23....

You do have to cross a couple of fields disturbing looking "Bull in field" signs but I saw no sign of them. The windmill at West Chilt is nice....

It's an ok short route but as others have commented the sections where you';re walking along verges to avoid being on the busy road aren't nice. WesSto 2 is nicer, recommend using that, but this is not actually dangerous provided you're not tempted to walk on the road....

Walk this routeDid this route in two sections, the second very wet with some paths almost streams - but that was exceptional weather. Decent route, mostly flat. Some nice woods and fields, one fast road to cross - be careful!...

This is quite a short route which I walked from Storrington to WCC. Once out of Storrington the route is pleasant, following field paths....
Bostal Boy
Lovely route out of Storrington but the way along the River Stor and around Fryern Park can be very muddy after wet weather. The final section, along Common Hill can be busy with traffic and is a bus route....

Walk this routeI walked half this route on 26 April 2021, in the reverse direction, from Partridge Green to Dial Post. Mentioning Hookshile Wood, there is a beautiful display of bluebells right now; well worth the walk at this time of year just to see them. The walk is also great because Knepp, just outside Dial Post, is well worth a visit. Even without time to go to Knepp, there is a pub in Dial Post as well as a cafe at the Garden Centre....
