Description
From Storrington High Street head towards the library car park and cross the River Stor towards Waitrose. Cross Mill Lane and cut through the retail area up to School Hill. Turn left at Fryern Road and right onto Wantley Lane. Follow Wantley Lane and Downsview Avenue. At the end of Downsview Avenue, follow the footpath across the field and head Downhill through woodland to Northlands Lane. At the end of Northlands Lane, cross Greenhurst Lane (take care) and follow the Bridleway through woodland to Threal's Lane. At the end of the Lane, cross Roundabout Lane and head up Lordings Lane. Neither Threal's Lane nor Lordings Lane have a footpath but both are very quiet roads. At the top of Lordings Lane, turn right onto Haglands Lane and continue to the convenience store, car park and bus route - your destination.
The rote is a mixture of footpath and very quiet metalled road. It avoids some very muddy areas by the River Stor and the area west of Fryern Road

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

19 Mar 2024A direct route which is easy to follow, and a definite improvement on WESSTO One. I walked from Storrington to WCC on 19th March after a very wet winter. There was a short muddy section at the end of Downsview Avenue , however most of the route was along either all weather paths or quiet lanes with minimal traffic. It took me less than an hour to walk. No gates, stiles or livestock. No refreshment opportunities along the way. May be suitable for wheels.

03 Mar 2024A nice little route, and definitely an improvement on Wessto one. Walked this on 14/10/23.
