It was never clear to me where Ottershaw ends and Addlestone begins....

When it then reaches Woodham Lane at the Victoria pub (see the first photo), it continues along a footpath on the other side of the road, not a paved street with a "private access" sign. Even though the towpath and the first 7km from Woking would be perfectly good for wheelers, the last footpath through a forest before Ottershaw has a relatively steep incline....

One thing to watch out for is a public bypass of the Broadoak farm approx. There are steps right next to the wide gate but they are overgrown and it doesn't look like a genuine public footpath at all....

It does begin on a long segment of quiet roads, but then it is introduced to more woodland area and it just gets nicked from there. There were a couple of incidents that could be an issue to a walker, such as narrow paths that required waiting for it to be clear and getting a bit lost in one part as there were lots of different routes to take. Overall it was pleasant and mostly accessible apart from the few patches of rough ground and continuous inclines...

There are steps right next to the wide gate but they are overgrown and it doesn't look like a genuine public footpath at all. There is a nice wide farm track along the stream but the public footpath leads on the other side of a fence between the wide farm track and the stream. I couldn't continue so I went on the farm track but it is closed off by a gate when it approaches Youngstroat Lane....

You must venture through a horse fields, climb a fence, go through many styles, cross roads, walk on rocky road and go through a large overgrown patch that will appeal to many but not to others. It is not accessible to those with disabilities but can be fun...

I started walking the route at Ottershaw and the first 1 km next to playing fields has a pavement next to them. On the other hand, the rest of the route led through quiet woods, fields and meadows and I'd praise is highly if it was not for one spot where the route seems to go through an inaccessible section....

It's very calm and mostly in nature apart from the beginning and end. Can be completed by any age and doesn't take too long either....

Fairly boring walk, better for functionality than having a pleasant time. All of it was next to the road, some of the pavements being very narrow and not easily accessible. However, it doesn't take long and most of the roads are accompanied by some nature...

Thereafter a short amble to Woodham Lane, and then a somewhat more narrow country path walk until you hit Woodham Park Rd....

It is straight, accurately drawn, relatively safe, though crossing Guildford Road in Ottershaw requires one to be watchful, and there is a pavement or a separate lane along the whole route. The main disadvantage is the constant noise from the busy Guildford Road so don't expect a particularly enjoyable walk....

As the route continues along Lyne Lane, there is no road edge and there is often not much space to step aside when cars are approaching....
