Help connect Lynmouth

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Lynmouth’s Slow Ways.

Walk this route

As per my review for Lynsim 1, this is a reasonably easy route to follow, except for the open moorland stretches where the path can get lost. It wouldn't suit a wheelchair user....

Walk this route

There's open moorland, which can be a little tricky to follow in poor visibility with only faint traces of path on the ground, but this is otherwise a straightforward route to follow as it matches the Two Moors Way which is signposted. It wouldn't be suitable for people using wheelchairs....

However the section of footpath between Culbone Church and Porlock Weir is not maintained, making access very difficult. It is overgrown, there are lots of fallen trees and a couple landslides. I have created LYNPOR 2 which solves this issue....
