Help connect Kenmore
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Kenmore’s Slow Ways.

I've given the route 4 stars as it doesn't follow the most direct route into Aberfeldy, going instead via the Birks of Aberfeldy. Just south of Dunskiag there is a more direct, signposted route into Aberfeldy. At the road the route is not carefully drawn. Walkers need to do a slight 'dog leg', following the road for about 50 metres before entering the top of the Birks on a well signed path (still the Rob Roy Way). This descends to a bridge crossing the Moness Burn, then steps and zigzags takes the route down through the scenic Birks of Aberfeldy on the east side of the burn...

Walked mid June, the whole path had been recently strimmed except the first 200m east of Comrie Bridge, beside the River Lyon, through woodland to the first field. The route is waymarked as Riverside Path, and River Tay Way. I walked along the road longer than I needed to: west of Balloch Park Luxury Lodges there's an off road path which is not waymarked from the west. The route runs along the road for about a mile southwest of Comrie Bridge, crossing the River Lyon on the road bridge, but it is a quiet road with reasonable sight lines....

Second half is road walking, nice veiws of the Lawers range. The road is a walking route so limit is 40mph but there's no pavements so be aware of traffic coming from behind....

There were cattle in the fields just after the River Lyon and sometimes they have access to the river path....
