Description

The route takes you up Killins main street and over the Falls of Dochart where it turns left at the pub and heads up the south side of Loch Tay. After roughly 1km of forestry track you join the loch side road for half a km before turning right up hill. After 2km you will join the Rob Roy Way, a further 2km and you will reach Lochan Breaclaich and start to skirt around the south side of Creag Charb (637m and a lovely wee peak if you have the time to take a jaunt up it although it is pathless). From here you start to head back down hill towards the lochside. After a couple of km you will turn off to the left, the path turns from good metalled track to single track and boggy in places. Ardeonaig is soon reached after another 4km, there's a nice hotel here where you can stop for a bite to eat and some refreshments. Moving on from Ardeonaig it is a straight road walk along the south side of the loch to Kenmore, you will pass through the small hamlets of Ardtalnaig and Acharn but there's little of intrest in these places. As you approach Kenmore you will pass Loch Tay Marina, you can stop here for refreshments and nice wood fired Pizza, they also offer watersports if you fancy a dip to cool off. There's also the Scottish Cranog center which is an interesting way to while away an afternoon if you have the time. Leaving here follow the road into Kenmore for about 1km to reach the end of the walk

Surveys

We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.

Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
