Instead, following North Approach Road towards the South until you see the traffic lights where you can cross the A985 and go under the Fife Coastal Path Arch, then turn left to join the path to Culross (indicated by a blue dotted line in the Open Street Map)....

It's a pleasant enough walk especially once you get away from the A985 and start heading on through Devilla Forest. Make sure to take something to eat & drink with you as there is a real lack of anywhere to stop for refreshments once you have left Culross....

The walk is well marked and is used by walker, runners and cyclists....

You can make it a shorter walk by starting from Limekilns rather than Inverkeithing. The walk is part of the Fife Coastal Path so is well signed, and good stretches are off road....

After heading up the hill from Culross centre I stayed on Kirk street to the Culross Abbey as there was no obvious path going through park house....
