It's a pleasant enough walk especially once you get away from the A985 and start heading on through Devilla Forest. Make sure to take something to eat & drink with you as there is a real lack of anywhere to stop for refreshments once you have left Culross....

Walk this route

It is a lovely route but I guess not popular as I met no-one between the last tarmac in Clackmannan and the first tarmac in Alloa. Whichever route is followed, the walker eventually reaches an earth path running east-west, parallel to the fence line and the Black Devon burn. The lane continues in a westerly direction through trees until just before it emerges onto Forth Crescent at which point it heads north and uphill into the trees (on an earth path) before emerging at the southwest corner of a big warehouse. A more formal path then appears ahead and the route follows this all the way into the centre of Alloa, passing the entrance to the Forth Valley College (Note the lovely views to the north)....
