In the area between Llantrisant, Tonyrefail and Beddau, there are quite a few footpaths that are either formally closed, peter out into blocked access or overgrown stretches or locked gates. The specific access issues on this route are:-....

Lovely walk mostly over Llantrisant Common, a little bit muddy in parts but otherwise no issues....

Straightforward walk, a bit muddy in the off road sections and the there is one section of road walking with no pavement - about 5 cars went past me, so not too busy....

The path through the woods and then across the fields and lanes, as opposed to following the main road all the way, makes this worthwhile....

There are a couple of points where you have to leave the trail briefly due to new developments or parts of the trail being inaccessible but with short detours you can soon get back off the tarmac and continue to enjoy nature and some fantastic views....

This 2.5km route has been walked in 34 minutes going from Llantrisant Bull Ring to the Beddau/Tynant sign at the bus stop. The walk was done in good weather in June 2021. Underfoot conditions were excellent....

This route is very pleasant and acceptable, the area just east of the middle section is very pitted with animal hoof marks. but I walked it in June in dry weather and the surface had hardened making it easy to walk in trainers....
