The walk is very pleasant and straightforward, very flat and mainly using obvious footpaths....

Some of the fields in between Knutsford and Mobberley were VERY boggy (it’s been raining for about three months on and off) but may be fine after a dry spell....

A little boggy in places, good boots needed, especially in winter....

Later there are 2 separate fields which were not sown I guess when the route was mapped so you need to go around the edge of the field to avoid going straight through wheat fields....

Route well recorded, easy to follow, signage pretty good even if you didn't have a map but accuracy pretty much there. Three stiles I think in the whole route, but ground easy and all ways are clear....

Knutsford is a particularly pleasant place to be and I think the optimal route would be Wilmslow to Knutsford such that you can take advantage of the many nice places to get a drink / bite to eat at the end of the walk. The route is fairly obvious with limited scope to go wrong (or at least for too long as there are many reference points including roads, buildings etc) although I did need live maps on the Longridge to Pavement Lane section (at the Knutsford end of the walk) to keep to the suggested route as there are multiple paths to choose from....

This is a good route that travels across Tatton Park, through Rostherne, a lovely village, along quiet lanes and countryside into Lymm village....
