Somewhat of a challenging Slow Way in the wet weather as you walk through the fields, but it's a nice starting point to walk in conjunction with other routes towards Milton Keynes. More details to follow....

This is an OK Slow Way, no doubt better in the summer. Longer review to follow....

I successfully completed this route today! Review to follow....

Easy to follow route with reasonable surfaces - even in February the field paths weren't too muddy. A few stiles at the Hartwell end that could be avoided by using the bridleway to the West but kidding Gates near Grange Park and Hardingstone prevent wheelchair access for the whole route...

Walk this routeI started this direct, easy to follow route from Hartwell on a hot day. I was thankful the route passes the Post Office (shop), as I'd run out of water on my other walks that day. In summary, having fixed the error in the original route, this has the makings of a really nice walk....

I proceeded along the path without challenge and met up with the Milton Keynes Boundary Walk, which the route follows for most of the way. The section as you cross the River Tove involves steps up to the various bridges and stiles make the route less accessible too. The route was certainly enjoyable and was an easy walk, although doesn't appear accessible for wheelers....

Walk this routeAt the Hartwell end, rather than following the more direct and better maintained cycleway it directs you along the footpath....

I was generally pleased with it, until getting to the university campus where, rather than following the footpath, you follow the road, supposedly to join the Nene footpath. The bridge you are lead to, however, has no access to the path and the prospect of clambering down the bank is somewhat hampered by the presence of traffic barriers at the road side. This version of the route makes no sense when a version via the campus footpath actually links up with the riverside walk....

Pleasant, straightforward route, though we managed to take the wrong path out of Hartwell to start with....

Nice route, with some redirection necessary for path changes, it would seem, besides currently obstructed at the M1 crossing near Hartwell....

Would have attached photos but the size limit is too small even for photos taken on my fairly basic phone - I suggest a 10MB limit rather than 5MB....
