Somewhat of a challenging Slow Way in the wet weather as you walk through the fields, but it's a nice starting point to walk in conjunction with other routes towards Milton Keynes. More details to follow....

I proceeded along the path without challenge and met up with the Milton Keynes Boundary Walk, which the route follows for most of the way. The section as you cross the River Tove involves steps up to the various bridges and stiles make the route less accessible too. The route was certainly enjoyable and was an easy walk, although doesn't appear accessible for wheelers....

In terms of transport the route starts at Milton Keynes Central Railway Station and connects with Wolverton which is good, but bypasses bus connections in Milton Keynes and misses the bus stop in Yardley Gobion. Once on the canal, the route was easy to navigate but I seemed to spend most of my time in Milton Keynes wondering where I needed to turn next....

It specifically takes you across the bridge to follow the Midshires Way and then changes its mind under the bridge when you are already on the wrong side of the water course....

Generally easy to follow- a couple of crop fields North West of Alderton not the easiest to find the path across but overall a nice route....

There is a more direct route in the section from Wolverton to Milton Keynes Central, but it is worth taking taking the suggested route if you have time....
