Easy to navigate, but construction works on the edge of Towcester (illustrated) necessitated a minor detour along the Wood Burcote Road; to avoid the housing estates, I left Towcester following the surfaced paths alongside the River Tove from Waitrose, and joined the Grafton Way at a more northerly point. Plenty of stiles once in Buckinghamshire, some of which are incomplete (but not impassable), public toilets in each town, and minimal road walking; no major roads to cross....

Generally easy to follow- a couple of crop fields North West of Alderton not the easiest to find the path across but overall a nice route....

Quite a bit alongside the canal, a few hundred yards on small roads through Blisworth, and then over the fields including half a mile alongside woods then quite a distance over flat meadows before the last half mile on road in to Towcester. The walk was in January so the going was quite muddy underfoot but otherwise it was easy....
