There were a few obstacles along the way such as a footpath overgrown and inaccessible, meaning I had to find another route around (luckily there was a road just further up that connected). Walking from Swanton to Melton Constable was along a very busy road and found it hard to get up on the side of the verge, out of the way of traffic There was also a field to walk through (public footpath) but did house a herd of cows which was quite unnerving as they all stopped to watch me as they went by....

Such as having to cross a busy A road, and walking along roads which had lots of traffic, making it hard to move out of their way. *All road until you reach Wells, although b roads are surprisingly busy and not easy to move out of the way of oncoming traffic...

From Sennowe Park the route, as it stands, follows the old Sustrans No 1, which was at least under review because from Gt Ryburgh the road is frequented by lorries and then follows a fairly narrow busy road in and out of Fakenham....
