Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Corhampton’s Slow Ways.

You then walk down to the River Meon at Droxford, again don't stress about finding the footpath up to the Village shop, just follow the main path past the mill onto Mill Lane (its much prettier and FAR safer than walking down the A32 - you can do this perfectly safely, there is pavement, there is just no need). As you enter the woods out the back of Dundridge the SlowWays path does a funny loop up to the road, but there is absolutely no need for this, just follow the sign-posted path down the hill to re-join the route!...

A lovely walk through classic English countryside from the beautiful rural village of Corhampton to Horndean, passing through rolling hills, open fields, woodlands, and many picturesque rural villages (many with pubs). Some steep hills, but suitable for all age of walkers! If you don't fancy the full walk: Horndean to Hambledon (about half way) is a lovely shorter alterative (with a good pub, café and shop, bus links and accommodation)...

I didn't realise at the time but the part after Old Winchester Hill where you join the road (Hayden Lane?) actually has a footpath inside the Old Winchester Hill boundary which I could have used....
Penny
An outstanding route, passing over Old Winchester Hill. Great views more or less throughout. Very close to the route I would have suggested....
