Also the footpath South from East Street in Coggeshall is extremely muddy because it's always in use by the horse paddocks....

We set off mid morning from Coggeshall, so it was a perfect opportunity to stop in Greenstead Green at the Hyacinth Cafe for lunch. There is a short section of road along quiet lanes and through the hamlet of Burton's Green. When we reached Greenstead Green, the road section is all 30mph and has good viability for walking....

You may have spotted it from the busy A120, but it's surprisingly secluded and tranquil down in the bottom of the valley....
