There was a lot of walking on field edges but also long stretches where you are walking over recently cultivated fields which is heavy going especially after recent rain showers....

In the village of Thurlby you have to work your way round some houses to pock up the footpath beyond as the gpx route takes you through people's houses....

The first portion of the walk was good, some parts of the path seemed a bit overgrown but it's to be expected at this time of the year. There was quite a large portion of the walk where you are expected to walk close to or even on the road, which didn't feel particularly safe and I felt on edge having to look behind me a lot of the time. The public footpaths were in great condition for the most part, there wasn't a point where I felt the need to divert (apart from a field swarming with too many sheep!)...

Seamed to be a lot of road walking with no footpath, the roads weren't busy. Other than that straight forward...

Although I walked Colbou 4 the common portion presents the same issue: that of walking on the A151 with limited safe harbour. Total distance without pavement is about 0.6km....
