Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

21 Sep 2023I walked this route from Market Deeping to Bourne on a sunny September day after heavy rain the day before. It started on pavements to the outskirts of town then it was mainly shared cycle/pedestrian paths and minor roads to the village of Langtoft. The route joins the A15 for a very short but difficult stretch before heading through the fields to the village of Baston. Friendly PO and local store here. Then more minor roads, footpaths some thick mud after yesterday's rain. In the village of Thurlby you have to work your way round some houses to pock up the footpath beyond as the gpx route takes you through people's houses. More footpaths through countryside to Bourne. Not sure why the route takes a big detour around Well Head fields as this looks to be lovely parkland with water and plenty of footpaths through it open to public. Bourne itself is a bustling pleasant place.
