Help connect Bollington
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Bollington’s Slow Ways.

Walk this routeAnother route option (maybe not as wheel-friendly but more picturesque) would be to rejoin the Macclesfield Canal towpath via Clarence Road (where PoyBol1 route ends) and continuing towards Macclesfield before heading down to Macclesfield Station (the end of this section) just after passing under the A537 at the Puss in Boots Inn....

It's a nice walk with good views either from the top of Eccles pike or while you are contouring round it. Through fields with sheep in and hay meadows. It's a bit overgrown in places towards Chapel....

An easy to follow wark starting on the well marked path out of Macc by the side of (but mostly out of sight of) the Silk Road, then crosses over the Silk Road on a rather fine foot bridge. The Rout then joins the old railway line to a viaduct, ending with a short stroll up Bollington high street. Nice little stroll....
