Help connect Bodmin
Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.
Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.
Give a hike and help get a for every one of Bodmin’s Slow Ways.

We pioneered this route with a youth group to make a Slow ways story. All attached photos show our actual activity / walked route, which was not always the suggested slow ways route....
Nik Elvy
I walked part of the route Wentworth bridge to Bodmin on a mild autumn afternoon. I started at Wentworth Bridge from where the route follows the camel trail, which I thought it followed all the way to Bodmin....
Aamwalk
Nice route but coming out of Bodmin, you are taken through a farmer’s field and there’s no official way into Cardinham woods. Coming out of Cardinham woods I did also find myself definitely just walking through somebody’s driveway....

As stated in the earlier reviews this is a straight forward accessible route that follows the well known camel trail (about which you can find more info online and is for walking, cycling and riding). The path is a wide metalled path with a gradual ascent as the route climbs towards Bodmin....

[email protected] added Bodlis two, a new walk from Bodmin to Liskeard
Walk this routeExcellent way, with beautiful landscape, to get from Wadebridge to Bodmin by foot or cycle following the Camel Trail. Benches, cafes and well maintained surface make it suitable for most walkers....
Paul Haines
Clear, flat and accessible section of the Camel Trail. Plenty of benches along the way to enjoy the peace and birdsong....
Laura
The section after Doublebois indicates that the route enters Dennicksball Woods and follows trails to Trago Woods and Trago Mills....
Richard Grant
Follows the Camel Trail from Wadebridge into Bodmin town centre. This is well used by cyclists, horse riders and walkers. Very busy route in the holiday season....
