Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

Aamwalk
16 Oct 2023I walked part of the route Wentworth bridge to Bodmin on a mild autumn afternoon. I started at Wentworth Bridge from where the route follows the camel trail, which I thought it followed all the way to Bodmin. But in fact only uses it until near Helland when it then follows a series of lanes and paths. So I am only commenting on the 4 mile section I walked.
At Wentworth Bridge there is a nice looking cafe and bike hire. The path is tarmac and flat so very accessible as I saw both a wheel chair and mobility scooter users on the track. It is very picturesc as it goes through woods and follows the River Camel. There is industrial heritage at the derelict Wentford Driers. There is a lot of opportunity to stop and explore the country side along the route. And there are regular small car parking places if you are being picked up or dropped off.
