There is no direct path between Foxhill Bank Brow and the woods of the nature reserve. You would have to go through private grounds blocked by a big gate. It was a good route apart from the confusion in the middle....

After crossing the A679 I followed a quiet farm lane before entering a field to follow a straight-line ditch up the hill. I then approached the next farm or stables, where some of the multitude of footpaths have been blocked, but the remaining ones were mostly easy to follow and use, with the exception of one particular stile, towards the A56, included a squeeze between a stone wall and a large slab of rock the was leaning precariously. I followed a wooded path alongside the cobbled road where I could, as this was easier on my feet....

From Hapton, at the farm soon after crossing the A679, there is no access through the farm and houses, which are not marked as a Public Right of Way, and certainly looked private1...

There was also a dodgy stile at OS Grid Ref: 778293 between some fields above the A56 - it was a stone squeeze stile against the wall, followed by a wooden step stile, but the stone slab was leaning over and looked as if it could fall onto your foot....

This route is a little longer than ChuAcc One but it almost entirely avoids roads by using the off-road cycle track, which can be accessed right from Accrington Station....

Then some fenced in cycle track, rough road, and rubbish-strewn footpath, before a nicer footpath with a view down into Accrington… followed by more main tedious main road walking. Functional at best....
