I started from Wombwell with a stretch of pavement walking which leads to but then avoids Wombwell Park using instead an enclosed but decent path alongside the golf course....

I'm not sure about the meeting place serving the wider Worsborough and the route could be improved for wheels but an enjoyable walk. Turning into the main shopping road I wondered if the meeting place had been poorly located because a perfect looking seat and bus shelter was the first thing I saw....

Pleasant walk mostly along Trans Pennine Trail. Can be muddy underfoot in sections alongside River Dearne...

After crossing Hampole Drive, continue east, Where the route turns south, instead turn north along clear path -photo 4, looking south - and continue to High Street....
