These can be avoided if you walk around the outside of the course on Lower Road, this is a designated Quiet Lane. The fields to the north of the church in Ufford are prone to flooding (see picture) and an alternative in wet weather is to follow Barrack Lane between Lower Road and Spring Road, there is a pavement most of the way. Spring Lane is a designated Quiet Lane. Lower Ufford Road is not a designated Quiet Road but cars are not a problem....

This route is has a very dangerous road crossing - with steep access banks and a 70mph dual carriageway to cross. Not recommended....

This route has issues, particularly issues with access around Rendlesham estate. A predominantly rural route from the centre of Rendlesham estate to the square in Wickham Market. This route has stiles at the railway crossing and can be very wet around the river valley. The initial part of the route through the Rendlesham estate is uninspiring; at the point where you emerge onto the A1152 there is no pavement and you need to walk along the grass verge at the side of this busy road for 1/4 mile....

I walked from Woodbridge and the ascent to the road crossing is by steep, poorly maintained steps....

Firstly there was a section along a field edge where it wasn't obvious that there was a footpath at all and the footpath signs were mostly obscured....

footpath from GR 301 526 to 312 545 which skirts Loudham Park and takes you to Loudham Hall Rd which safely crosses A12 by a small road bridge....

Walking fro Wickham Market, it was not possible to turn left at 'The Lodge' as it's a private road and specifically says no footpath. (see photo) Trying to come from Rendlesham nthere was no footpath at the end of 'Garden Square', just a fence with a locked gate, so no access...
