Both Milnrow and Rochdale have good transport links with the tram at both, a bus terminus at Rochdale and bus route in Milnrow....

It includes two pleasant parks, some interesting civic buildings and some nice countryside views. Note that the path crosses a busy working farmyard where care should be taken....

It predominantly uses byways and bridleways making route finding relatively easy. The section at the Denshaw end across open fields requires a little more care as the path is not obvious on the ground....
