The downside is that the main part of the route is on the tar road, which is narrow and due to the hedges, only rarely one has a view of Dorset's beauty....

Off-road the stretch from Plush-Piddletrentide is beautiful, elsewhere where it shares the same paths as Hardy's Way there are often gates along with stiles though the route is not that accessible....

Winding through fields, taking a path less travelled, and heading along straighter roads, the section closer to Sherborne is a joy - the rest is fairly tortuous and probably only passible with dry weather / firm ground. Access was also a challenge with locked gates and stiles completely overgrown,...

A useful route though quite a few of the sections are hard going through crops where the path hasn’t been maintained. Several styles and a steep flight of steps means it is not accessible....
