Walk this routeWalked in summer: far nicer than the main A-road which is unsuitable for all but the bravest pedestrians....

There are several options along the route to exit the path such as Moors Valley Country Park which has a cafe & facilities for walkers & cyclists....

First bit, exiting Ringwood, is alongside the A31 trunk road, not so good, but walkers quickly move onto the Castleman Trail, an old railway line and the 4m walk to West Moors is a lovely tree-lined wide flat trail that can be done by disabled people....

I Walked this from Wimborne to Ferndown and was very pleasantly surprised by how much I could cover without encountering traffic. A large part was along the River Stour which was teeming with early spring activity and on Ferndown Common saw my first Male sand lizard. I am local and loved this walked and will be doing it again soon....
