Walk this routeA walk with some very pretty bits and lovely stops along the way! From the tarn, the path is a bit more rocky and can get quite wet if there's a lot of rain, but the descent gives you some pretty views of the fells in Borrowdale. The rest of the walk is very pleasant, following rivers, going through woodland, and along Derwentwater....

The path follows Crummock Water and has beautiful views of the fells around Loweswater and Buttermere. From Black Sail Hut, we headed towards another climb to Black Sail Pass, one of the many ways to get to Wasdale Head, This path was grassy and rocky and a bit more difficult than Scarth Gap, but still very doable!...
