This leads you into the large ex-colliery village of Rossington, where the route goes along the wide avenue – effectively a very quiet dual carriageway, with a grassy, tree-lined central reservation dotted with park benches....

It then passes through some pretty woodland leading to the ex-colliery town of New Edlington. Overall a good start and a good finish, but less interesting in the middle....

Straightforward route - if you need to walk between these 2 places it’s the obvious way, but it’s nothing special....

As a route between the two places this is direct and safe and perfectly usable. It's not as diverse in scenery as Conisbrough to Wadworth but it absolutely does the job....

On one section around the M18/A1(M) junction you have to walk along the road which passes under the motorway bridge, there is always a verge to use on the side and it was a quiet road at the time of passing though but the occasional car whistled past....

Nice walk, the paths weren't always sure they existed but definitely better than walking on main roads! Wouldn't recommend to people who want an easy walk as there was a lot of overgrown foliage around the path....

A great countryside walk - although having done this in winter, I know it does get very wet and muddy leaving Rossington around the back of the iport area....
