Stunning route (some clifftop, some woodland etc) following the Wales Coast Path- did this as part of a walk of the whole 870 mile trail and this had some of the best views of the whole 2 months, including waterfalls and seals. Easy to follow with the blue dragonshell signs and just keeping the sea on one side of you! Beaches and towns/villages along the way worth stopping at, definitely recommend this route....

Walked this in three stages as part of the Wales Coastal Path, though in the New Quay to Aberteifi direction. Fine cliff walking for the most part - part along the estuary provides quiet interlude....

I broke this walk up into two days. This is quite a challenging walk as there are continuous steep climbs and descents....

Two nice little seaside places joined by a very fine coastal path. Plenty of opportunities for marine mammal spotting and not as uppie downie as Cornwall. Route finding pretty straightforward done south to north and the cliff side walks aren't at all scary....
Steve_Roser
A very enjoyable, mostly straightforward route between two attractive little port towns, all on the Wales Coast path....

Note that there is currently a well signposted diversion on the coast path on the west side of Aberaeron due to coastal defence improvements - the diversion uses Wellington Gardens and a new paved path that skirts the edge of the county council car park. The current signposted coast path diversion in Aberaeron is to follow Vulcan Place, Wellington Street and Wellington Gardens past the primary school, then go straight on on the paved path (picture 1) that skirts the car park of the council offices then cross the field beyond the builders' fences....
