This is a longish but relatively straightforward route mainly using cycle paths, paths and tracks, often through woodland and some waterside by the beautiful Teifi river, with a few miles on very quiet lanes. Two villages have pubs and one also a cafe and deli, and the route passes close by the Welsh Wildlife Centre at the Teifi Marshes, which also has a cafe....

Walk this routeMost of this Slow Way is fine but unfortunately the route plotted near the Wildlife Centre is still on the east side of Forest Farm and also ends up in the gorge as I encountered the same stern warning sign shown in the first review of Cardnewn 1 on the path a little north of the farm (at approx w3w relished.cult.dreamer). I didn’t attempt this section because I was walking alone. Instead I backtracked and crossed over to the west side of the farm and used the more straightforward path (which is, I think, the one the original reviewer of Cardnewn 1 meant) to get to the Teifi marshes instead....

The route also takes a long and hilly detour north of the river between Llechryd and Cenarth when there is a more straightforward, less effortful route south of the river, and I would not walk the short section along the A-road at Llechryd as parts of it have no footway...

Walk this routeCoast path is no worries for navigation but even the paths around farmland at Pantsaeson was really well signed....

Not just tied shut but held across the track with string so impossible to untie without the whole gate falling down....
One Woman Walks
Great route that's very varied : estuaries, dunes, beaches, cliffs, wooded valleys, meadows. There are no towns and just one sizeable village en route. Take food and drink - find a comfy spot and enjoy the views....

Walk this routeStunning route (some clifftop, some woodland etc) following the Wales Coast Path- did this as part of a walk of the whole 870 mile trail and this had some of the best views of the whole 2 months, including waterfalls and seals. Easy to follow with the blue dragonshell signs and just keeping the sea on one side of you! Beaches and towns/villages along the way worth stopping at, definitely recommend this route....

Walked this in three stages as part of the Wales Coastal Path, though in the New Quay to Aberteifi direction. Fine cliff walking for the most part - part along the estuary provides quiet interlude....

I broke this walk up into two days. This is quite a challenging walk as there are continuous steep climbs and descents....

Instead of turning sharply east at the visitor centre, it would be better to continue south and pass between Fforest Farm and Fforest Camp, come out on a minor road, cross one of the pedestrian bridges to Church St in Cilgerran, and then rejoin the suggested Slow Ways route by Cilgerran Castle....
