Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.

13 Nov 2024Stunning route (some clifftop, some woodland etc) following the Wales Coast Path- did this as part of a walk of the whole 870 mile trail and this had some of the best views of the whole 2 months, including waterfalls and seals. Easy to follow with the blue dragonshell signs and just keeping the sea on one side of you! Beaches and towns/villages along the way worth stopping at, definitely recommend this route.

13 Nov 2024Walked this in three stages as part of the Wales Coastal Path, though in the New Quay to Aberteifi direction. Fine cliff walking for the most part - part along the estuary provides quiet interlude.

13 Nov 2024Thank you so much for responding to our call out for reviews for this long stretch! So exciting to get it verified - we're a big chunk closer to connecting St David's to the Intercity Network now. And look at those choughs! I'm only in Aberystwyth so this is definitely on my to do list!

09 Nov 2024Fantastic coastal walk. Lots of dramatic and rugged views. I saw four dolphins, two seals and lots of Wales !
I broke this walk up into two days. Caught the bus (hourly service) from New Quay to Cardigan and walked back. I stayed at Llangrannog overnight at the Pentre Inn - which was a cosy friendly pub on the beach front.
This is quite a challenging walk as there are continuous steep climbs and descents. Luckily it follows the Ceridigion and Wales Coast path so its clearly signposted and a well trodden rock.
If you haven't got a head for heights then this may not be for you as a lot of the track is just a few feet from some very high cliff drops and steep slopes.
The scenery is stunning and varied. The only slightly dull bit is walking around MoD Aberporth. But its not too far to the beach area and refreshments.
