The path quickly left the road near the swimming pool, but it was very wet and flooded, and within the first mile my feet were already soaked. From there the path led through woodland down to Wisemans Bridge, where it joined the coast path. The final section was a highlight, following the coast path around Monkstone Point into Saundersfoot....

I'm afraid to say I couldn't complete the Slow Way due to a water course blocking the route. This may be temporary as I did walk during Storm Bram. However the route looked pretty impassable as it was likely to have been a ford during drier times?...

Includes a closed section of footpath alongside a river which has fallen into landslip, making it extremely difficult to navigate. Several locked gates and missing stiles, had to climb fences and gates. Even the tiny section along the main road is very busy and dangerous....

We had a great time on this route!Along the way, we passed a few picturesque farms and spotted some local wildlife, adding to the charm....

Enjoyable natural areas along the way although not much to see in Whitland but the journey is lovely. If you are looking for a memorable end point may not be the best for that but was definitely accessible and easy to navigate....

Narberth was a very beautiful little town, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring it....

The route passed by the wonderful Carew Castle and Tidal Mill that had facilities and definitely worth a stop off if you have the time. Despite being the height of summer I only saw people at the popular (ish) landmarks of Cresswell Quay and Carew Castle. If you want a quiet and peaceful walk where you don't have to concentrate too much of navigation and have the opportunity to stop off mid walk - this is definitely recommended!...

Walk this routeRoute has two blocked rights of way that don't appear to be getting resolved any time soon, and some very unsafe road walking I'd recommend you use PembNar Two that has been surveyed on the ground....

Here is a dilemma: the route goes across to Crinow, and along a dog leg of footpaths through fields to rejoin the road to Lampeter Velfrey. If I was going to walk this again, I'd just walk this road from the start, where it comes off the main road just south of Crinow (grid ref 127 140). Beyond Lampeter Velfrey the route joins the Landsker Borderlands Trail, for the final stretch through woodland and fields. Rejoining the road at High Street to walk down into Whitland, it's another plain but quiet road walk....
