This is a great route and very easy to navigate as it follows the Great Glen Way. The northern two-thirds is flat and follows the canal. The southern part includes a short steep 130m ascent....

Walk this routeUntil then, as the route enters/leaves Invermoriston at Dalcataig Road, make sure you stay on the Great Glen Way and you'll be fine....

Walk this routeReally lovely path through the forest from Invergarry to Bridge of Oich, then canal towpath into Fort Augustus. Very clear path and well way marked as part of the Great Glen Way. The canal towpath is a little hard on the feet at the end of a long day....

The walk into Invermoriston at end is excellent and it`s worth spending some time visiting the main Invermoriston Falls (just off the path)....
