Help connect Brading

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Brading’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates

This is a lovely route, mainly flat and very attractive, but it it does have the disadvantage of crossing marshland which becomes almost impassable during the winter months, although it was dry on the day I walked it in April. It is possible to skirt around the edge of the marsh if necessary but sturdy walking boots/wellies would still be essential....

Can be a bit muddy, so welly boots advised!...

Walk this route

Although if you want to avoid the hills it may be better to go down to Sandown and along the old railway line, this is a lot more accessible as well....

Walk this route

Very good route, only reason it is not five star is because there is a slight bit where the route travels along major roads around the smallbrook stadium area....

Walk this route

Ok route, whilst the part by the railway track is good, the part that goes through the marsh can often be flooded during the winter and is only passable if you are wearing welly boots....
