Description
This route is based on the excellent Uxbhar Two, but it removes my main concern about that route, which is the unnecessary (imo) steep pull up/down Harrow hill. Slow Wayers - you have a choice!
I've routed this one to go directly to Harrow from Rayners Lane; and it also means you get to walk through a very pleasant park at West Harrow, with benches and a cafe.
Other changes are at Rayners Lane, to spend more time walking alongside the Yeading Brook, and to use a ramped railway crossing rather than some very steep steps.
However if you want to walk up Harrow hill for the interest/sightseeing/views value then choose Uxbhar Two.
In summary - leave Uxbridge along a fairly busy road. Then a wonderful green route following the Yeading Brook through Ickenham Marsh, leading more or less all the way to Rayners Lane; some quiet residential streets and a park before arriving at Harrow.
Refreshments intermittently along the way, and tube stations at Hillingdon (Piccadilly), Ruislip Gardens (Central), and Rayners Lane (Piccadilly)

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
