Survey Photos
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.

26 Jun 2023This is a very scenic route which follows the Drake trail which is part of the national cycle network. As a result the route is easy and safe with good quality track under foot. Being on an established trail means it's easy to navigate and well signposted.
I would walk again, it's nice that for the most part you are walking away from roads.

04 Nov 2022This route mostly follows the Dartmoor Way from Tavistock to Yelverton. This is good if you are on foot and want to get away from traffic but is not the most direct route available. It can also get quite muddy in winter months!.
