Description
Created this route as Breabe 1 is via canal and this route is over the Beacons with great views of Pen-y-Fan, Cribyn, Fan-y-Big. Cuts across farmland initially and then on to open moorland as it rises up to Graig Fan Las and onto Craig y Fan Ddu with dramatic views across the valley. It then cuts down to a beautiful forested area with several good waterfalls (a good place for a picnic). There is a quite country lane in a fantatstic valley to get to Abercynafon. At Abercynafon there is only a holiday cottage (7 days min) and no cafe, pub or public transport - so you'll have to use another Slow Ways to return to civilisation. Very dramatic views of the Beacons and great waterfalls but some very barren moorland in places. Relatively easy to navigate and a good path to follow once up high

Surveys
We are working to build-up a picture of what routes look like. To do that we are asking volunteers to survey routes so that we can communicate features, obstacles and challenges that may make a route desirable or not.
Slow Ways surveyors are asked to complete some basic online training, but they are not vetted. If you are dependent on the survey information being correct in order to complete a route, we recommend that you think critically about the information provided. You may also wish to wait until more than one survey has been completed.
Help people know more about this route by volunteering to submit a survey.
