Not much to add from the previous reviews, I really enjoyed this walk on a sunny day....
Strider
I walked from Crystal Palace to West Dulwich on a rainy afternoon. Despite the rain this was a pleasant, direct, easy to navigate route. There are steep hills, 17%, but no other obstacles for wheels....

This is a lovely (and little) walk linking pretty (and pricey) Dulwich Village to West Dulwich station under a mile away. Almost immediately after the "village" ends the route turns down Gallery Road which is bordered by a community orchard, several visually enticing playing fields (if you ignore the discrete Private Land signs) and, of course, Dulwich Picture Gallery and grounds. Then it goes through charming Belair Park and exits opposite West Dulwich station station, the end point, avoiding a trudge along the notoriously busy A206 / South Circular Road....

A gradual climb past expensive homes to Sydenham Hill station (access by stairs only) then up a steep, tree-lined path to the top of the hill. Popular pub with garden here. And two bus routes go past.. It's steep going down the other side too, first on roads, then through pretty Sydenham Wells Park. As others have mentioned the route line is sub-par here, common in so many parks. Here is better than most as 1) the line is pretty close to paths 2) unusually maps here show all the paths and 3) the Green Chain Walk crosses the park in the same way. And a familiar problem: a hazy route line fixed by using the Green Chain Walk signs and/or surprisingly good paths on maps....

Thanks a lot for this route - I didn't know Russel's Path, and now we walk it every week, and use it if the trains are 'upside down' to walk back from Streatham to West Norwood. Really pleased to have this bit of local knowledge....

A fairly boring route that follows some main roads and then quieter residential streets. Passes good shops etc at Norwood. Not a better option than this route really, although you could take a pick of different residential streets should you wish....

Passes the Dulwich Picture Gallery where you can go through the gardens to avoid a little of the road...

I walked this route from West Dulwich to Streatham....
Intrepid Rabbit
Dulwich aka Dulwich Village tends to be expensive and West Dulwich railway station has little to offer in that way either....
Intrepid Rabbit
Kept us off the main road although it was mostly through estates and back streets...

Park sections are nice; might be worth avoiding the South Circular section...
mulcathery
Perfectly pleasant walk and flatter than Wescry one, but much less green...
mulcathery
A straightforward route which keeps off the road as much as is possible but inevitably involves a fair percentage of pavement walking....

This walk takes a direct and pleasant route between West Dulwich and Brixton....

cross Norwood road at bottom of Lnsdowne hill then take Chatsworth way, Idmiston road to Rosendale road and then Carson road -...

This is a perfectly satisfactory route between Brixton and West Dulwich stations. Apart from the section through Brockwell Park it is on roadside pavements, but there are no practical alternatives which avoid roads. There are some gentle slopes but the route is paved the whole way, with the only obstacles being curbs at road crossings....

This is a perfectly satisfactory route between Dulwich Village and West Dulwich station. Easy to follow and direct while taking in as much green spaces as possible including a nice park area with a small river/pond. You go past plenty of pubs/cafes/restaurants in Dulwich and it has the station at one end of the route. Easy to follow on from to get into Peckham where you have further connections....

It's steeper and wilder than the more manicured Sydenham Wells Park, but pretty and you get to see one end of the closed Paxton Tunnel, once used for the lost Crystal Palace (High Level) branch railway line....

While climbing up Farquhar Road, I'd strongly suggest detouring via a loop through the Dulwich Upper Wood nature reserve (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dulwich_Upper_Wood), following paths close to the road....
