Latest Updates
At Oakbank the route leaves the road and follows a muddy path alongside Jock’s Burn until it rejoins the road via a slightly wider path called Raes Road. The going here is good but from the point where the route leaves the estate drive, the surface is very variable with some steep sections, some muddy paths and some sections of boardwalk. The route is not without its challenges, namely muddy and steep sections and some road walking without pavement...

Soon, the landscape opens up and there are wonderful views as the route (now narrow and muddy) passes between fields to arrive at Netherburn Road. This road is crossed and followed for a few hundred metres (along a narrow pavement) until the route tuns left onto quieter country roads. After crossing here, the route follows another narrow road (Swinhill Road – Shaws Road) which again becomes a grass track (albeit wider than before)....
