19 Jul 2026 (edited 20 Jul 2026)Walked as part of the National Parks Challenge 2026. Almost entirely on the Clyde Walkway, it is delightful. The section after Crossford is passable but will be overgrown within a season or two. Another section is signposted twice as closed and under reconstruction - it isn’t and the work is complete.
Rather than continue into Glasgow using the existing SW routes, I chose to stay on the Clyde Walkway. It’s a good route although the signposting is a bit off in places so best to use a digital map and be careful when there is a mix of roads and cycle paths to avoid any confusion. I failed in this respect!.
