Walk this routeA better option that I usually take is to use the footpath adjacent to Valley road, then use the access road to the cottages and walk through to Leiston common where there is a permissive path across Sizewell Belts and into Kenton Hills which then links back to the lane to Eastbridge - a much more pleasant and traffic free walk...

The route uses a permissive path along the former Aldeburgh branch railway. I have never known this to be blocked up in all of the 25 years of walking it...
