Help connect Inverie

Many Slow Ways have several route options. Some will be better than others, or good for different reasons.

Our goal is for each Slow Way to have at least one route that is verified and surveyed. To be verified – and get its snail badge – a route needs at least three positive reviews.

Give a hike and help get a for every one of Inverie’s Slow Ways.

Latest Updates

I stayed at A'Chuil bothy and Sourlies bothy before making it to Inverie. The trail to A'Chuil bothy is a mix of easy track, bog, and marsh. The track is fairly easy as you pass Coryhully bothy until you reach the top of the pass. After A'Chuil bothy, the trail is fairly boggy and rough, so great care is needed, especially if you've had wet weather. This is much easier than the path before Sourlies, and as you descend the pass you'll be treated to great views of the peninsula and the track gets better....

From Inverie the route takes a ferry to Mallaig, then predominantly follows roads via Arisaig to Glenfinnan, with some off road walking between Arisaig and Borrowdale....
