You can't cross the River Till at Etal on foot. If you start at Coldstream you'd find this out when you got there then you'd bewithin spitting distance of the pub and tearoom at Etal yet have another 5km/3mi to walk via Crookham etc. That's 2.5km/1.5mi further than if you used ColEta 2 in the first place.. 2) Ordnance Survey maps don't show a right of way actually *across* the river. Photo 2....
