After leaving the main tracks through Kirkhill forest take the less used farm tracks that head in the general direction of the Aberdeen bypass. When reaching the junction at the end of the farm tracks, take the field on the left not the overgrown path straight ahead. When reaching the corner of the field, there is a path near a small berry tree to the right of the bungalow. Look for the way marked path that takes you off the pavement and down the steps back to the river / under Diamond bridge...

Walk this routeTurn on to the track up on the right side of the house, to join the Skair Road. (An amazingly straight, slightly uphill old country road, in great condition. Didn't see a single vehicle). This section can easily be bypassed by continuing on to Fintray road if you don't want to go through...
