25 Jun 2023Easy walking up from Yelverton to Princetown. Once out of Yelverton, quite a lot of this route follows disused railway routes and are just long, gentle inclines.
Warning - the route from the quarry to Princetown itself is hopelessly mismarked. There is no path to be found even close to the marked line on Slow Ways. We think the route ought to follow the old railway line, which is a few hundred metres away and is the obvious walking trail.
Memo to Slow Ways - please review your marked trail for c. the last 2 miles into Princetown!.

29 Mar 2022A very enjoyable walk using bridleways and old disused railways to cross open moorland. Scarcely any road, but that which exists near Yelverton is a quiet lane with pavement or wide verges. very pleasant walk.
