Description
This route is a recording of the way I walked the WymMul section. This was to avoid having to use the track opposite Bracon Hall Farm on East Carleton Road. The road itself has no pavement and some cars do 60mph along that stretch. The land owner has also put a sign on the gate suggesting it is private. The legalitites are not clear to me i.e. whether using the track would be tresspassing.
The alternative I chose is nice and quiet, and not much longer. There are a couple of obvious ways to make the route shorter if desired using roads with pavements rather than footpaths through fields.
Like the original suggestion, this route also uses the footbridge to the east of the Bird in Hand pub in Wreningham. My survey suggested this was the steepest part (at 30% / 17deg) with high crops. It is followed (if walking Wym -> Mul) by a section with very narrow (18cm wide) gate/stiles. Together they would make it very challenging for any wheelchair/buggy users.
I will upload another route which avoids this section, but still has 'kissing' gates and other obstacles
